When we were children, we wereaddicted to the stories that our parents and grandparents used to tell us at
the bedtime. Now, the time might have changed and the mail might have given way
for the email, but the hunger for stories in our children has not diminished. However,
the question is, do we or our children have time for that kind of indulgence
anymore!
There is home work to be taken
care of, there are extracurricular activities that the schools demand every
child should be a part of. So, what to do! I would suggest that you should give audio books a try.
Audio books give our children the
same old feel of being told stories orally, and that too at a time of their
choice. It would not just elicit their love for the language but it will definitely
build their imaginative power.
So, in the coming summer
vacations, gift your younger ones the audio books and let them tem build their
creative instinct with Sher Khan and Gulliver.
Listening is as good as reading,
folks.
